@ID2 @Qgirl26  Yes, it definitely says Amazon Prime eligible.  I actually chose to only pull up Prime items, too.

That's really weird then. I would be upset at that too. If it says Amazon Prime eligible, it should come in 2 days. It sounds like an item that should not be consider prime.

@Qgirl26  Not only does it say Amazon Prime, it's available only to Prime members.

Call their CS and they will surely give you the info you need.  I've been a Prime member for years and there has never been ONE TIME when CS didn't address my concern with clarity and speed.  They have the best CS in the business from my experience.  That's why I spend so much $$  with Amazon Prime.

I've been trying to figure out how to call them.  I called them once a long time ago and it was hard to figure out what the Customer Service # was.  Could someone please tell me how to find the number?

Edited to add:  I found the number.

Well, this is even stranger.  When I'm looking at the item and description it still says that it can take 5 business days to be delivered.  When I go to checkout though, it says it's guaranteed delivery by March 23, which would be two business days.  I think I'm going to go ahead and order it.  If it doesn't come on time I will call Amazon Customer Service and ask them about it.

Thanks everyone, for your help!

There are some items which must be shipped via ground transportation by law.  In these cases, there are no exceptions.

This item could be one of those which requires ground transportation but ships for free with Prime.  Hopefully, Amazon will be able to provide some clarification.

@NickNack

Have been Prime for almost 3 years now. The item you purchase has to have the word "Prime" in the description.

@hckynut  It's an item exclusively for Prime members.  Beside the listed price it says Prime.  Anyway, when I started the check-out process it showed that it would arrive in two business days.  On the page with the description is where it said it could be five business days.  I didn't order it.  I just picked a different brand that indicated two day shipping.

Could it have been that you weren't logged in to your account when you initially landed on the item?  That could have it show a non-Prime ETA.

I ordered a shirt for DH and it said "not in stock" will ship Prime when it becomes in stock.  After 30 days of waiting, I got an email that said it was still not in stock and did I want to continue waiting.  I really want that shirt, so I'm waiting.  I'm thinking it won't probably ever ship, but we'll see.

Glad you found it @NickNack.  It can be difficult to locate on the Amazon site.  I seldom need to call customer service, but I did put the number in my phone contact list.  Here it is for anyone who might need it:

I've been a Prime member for years as well.

Could the alert about the item taking as long as five business days be for the non Prime members?  I've run across similar situations but I've always received my purchase in the two days service.  I was curious about the same day delivery now offered on some items and gave it a try. For a little extra fee, I received my purchase in late afternoon the same day ordered.  Pretty cool!  The extra nominal fee, I chalk up to a "convenience fee".
