Depends on which model MBP & the type/model tv you have.

Detailed instructions are on Amazon's troubleshooting website as well as YouTube's tutorial videos.

Do a Google search.

You can easily view Amazon Video by streaming on an Amazon Fire Stick.  I probably watch as many or more  movies on Amazon Video as I do Netflix.  If you have both, you won't need other movie sources.  You can also get Netflix on the Fire Stick.  If theres a way to go from computer to a TV, I don't know what it would be.

YouTube is your friend in this case. If you want to try it on your own however, here are my best suggestions.

The answer, as is often the case, is "it depends." The easiest way is to simply connect the Macbook to the HDTV using an HDMI cable and then switching the TV input to that HDMI port. What's showing on your Macbook Pro screen should/may then be on the HDTV. (You may have to change a setting on the MacBook Pro also, but I'm not a Mac expert. In Windows you sometimes need to adjust the BIOS to output on the HDMI port when an HDMI cable is connected. It's not always automatic.)

If the HDTV is a "Smart TV" then you might be able to stream wirelessly by downloading the right media server app (if the Smart TV doesn't already have one) and with that app on both the MacBook Pro and the HDTV they should connect and let you wirelessly stream from the one to the other. There are likely a few other ways also depending on what equipment you have. If you have a smart Blu-Ray player you may be able to stream from your computer to the Blu-Ray player and then to the HDTV depending on the capabilities of the smart Blu-Ray player. If you have a Roku box, or Fire Stick, or other set-top box you may also be able to stream from your MacBook Pro through them depending on the apps in use. (Of course if you have a Fire Stick or Roku you can just stream Amazon anyway through that device without the computer.)

Buy and connect an Apple TV.  I have two and can stream from all of my Apple devices.  You can also stream from the Amazon app without the need to stream from your Macbook.  I have PBS, DIY, Netflix, Amazon, Acorn plus several other apps on my Apple TV I use for streaming programs.  While I have a smart Sony TV, I can't stream from Acorn TV using the TV.  It has to do with no agreement between the two.

I could connect my Macbook to the TV but, I don't have any place to put it.  Another option would be a 25 foot HDMI cable running across the room which I don't want either.  I bought my first Apple TV long before I owned a smart TV.  I bought the newest version when I didn't have every option for streaming I wanted.  I highly recommend one.
