As far as I know, you can do a to-do list that shows up on your Kindle, and you can set an alarm, but you can't do a reminder.
I would very much like the reminder read out to me in the morning. I think a feature to read back a to-do list of the day would be GREAT.
We can suggest it--as mentioned earlier in the thread, they are looking for improvements.
I love the Echo--when I'm wakeful but don't want to stare at the clock and focus my (unaided) eyes on the clock, I can just ask Alexa what time it is. And the temperature. Brrrr. Pull up the covers and go back to sleep. Until SPRING....

I'll try that. Thanks.Edit: There is no way to turn up the alarm volume in the app that I could see.
Thanks anyway.
I think then the alarm must default back to the sound level you have when you are playing something last. Like if i'm listening to the radio at 5 then I can't have an alarm come on for volume 10. But that's a good suggestion for amazon.

Yes it would. Thanks!

I believe the alarm volume and music volume are separate. (I could be wrong about that though.) You can set the alarm volume by going to Settings and then pan down to ""Sounds"" on the Echo App. (""Sounds"" is under ""Metric Measurements"" in the ""Settings"" menu. It's pretty easy to overlook it there.)

I'm totally lost. There is no ""sounds"" under settings. There is also no Metric Measurements anywhere. I'm looking on my echo app. I'm trying...

Sorry about that, but as lovescats said I left out a step. The Sounds settings are under "Your Echo" where "Your" is whatever name you gave your Echo.

Thank you! I found it. Mine was not turned up. Gosh, everytime I was setting the alarm, I was saying volume 10 first. I guess that doesn't do any good. Glad I'm not going deaf. LOL
I haven't tried it out yet because DH is sleeping. I'm sure it will work for me now.
Thanks again!

What better way to test an alarm than on a sleeping husband? Or are you one of those ""let sleeping husbands lie"" types?

LOL! I was nice and waited for him to leave to test it out. Let me tell you, it is LOUD now! Wow!
On another note....Call me crazy! I wanted an Echo for my store really bad and I know I will be waiting forever. I tried to get one in DH name, and no invite yet. I have to constantly remember to do things and set alarms and this would be so useful, plus a great conversation piece for customers. I would also like to play music softly in the background. I snagged one today on Ebay at the inflated price of $187.50 with free shipping and no tax. I think it is well worth that price, even though the seller is making money. If I ever get the other invite, I'll still buy it for $99 and either use it in the bedroom or sell that one. I'm excited. I should get it by next Saturday or before.
