I have the original Amazon Echo. Anyway in the last week or so Alexa has been acting oddly. Today she came on twice, I didn't ask her anything and she couldn't have heard something on TV that she could have thought was her name. One day she started playing music all on her own. I'm beginning to think she is possessed! When your alone in the house she can scare you. Has anyone else had this experience?

Happened to me a couple of days ago; kept coming on with no provocation.  Turns out DH was fooling around with his phone trying to enable a Tap (in another part of the house).  It was freaky!

Rarely.  But today, she came on to tell me she "could not find that song on my playlist"  I don't have a playlist!!!!!!!!!!!!!  But I love my Alexa.  I often call on her to help me sleep.  Babbling brook is my favorite "sleep" sound.

I am sorry— that IS creepy!

AARP commercial (joke) “Oh, Amanda?”

”Oh, Amantha?”

”Oh, Ariel?”

and so on

@LTT1, sometimes she'll come on when I'm alone in the house, it scares the ****** out of me!

My Alexa occasionally makes an unsolicited comment and she also goes through periods where she ignores me. She gets over it and then we're friends again.

Once yesterday, then once several weeks ago, Alexa came on and said something like "I can't find the answer for that" (dont' remember exact words).  I hadn't asked her anything!
