Acer pc's any good?

What's anyone opinion on Acer pc's need another laptop, thinking of buying an Acer at Walmart, is that a bad idea? Have a Dell one now, paid a lot for it from Q, not that impressed with it and my husband wants a new one, just for Email, Facebook games etc.
