I'm going to wait until they do an 18.1 update. I never update a device with the major changes until the bugs are worked out.

Yes After updating yesterday my phone called 911 all on its own. No emergency. I had to tell them my phone malfunctioned. Apparently this is not a new issue. So they "fixed" it in this update and gave the problem to all of us who didn't have it before.

Apparently it's already caused problems for M4 iPad pros and they've pulled the update for that device.

I also read about Messaging problems somehow connected to the Apple Watches.

Modern operating systems have become absurdly complicated. Reportedly there are 85+ million lines of code in the latest MAC OS. There will be issues when you've got 85+ million lines of code that all need to work properly.

The Apple ecosystem had a big advantage in that only Apple made their hardware. They didn't have to worry about what some third-party hardware maker would do. They seem to be having more major issues now though than Microsoft.

Part of the problem is that they're still trying to support older hardware that's vastly different from the newer stuff. That gets insanely complicated.

How can that be when the new releases are on pre-sale and not available until tomorrow.
