A little PC help?

OK, my laptop is driving me crazy! S L O W.... I have to click things twice. I've ran a scan, everything is fine. I ran Malware and a cleaner. Any other ideas? I'm not a guru in the PC department. THanks for any/all advice!!! Happy Friday EVE!!!
