I just purchased the 10th gen Apple iPad with 256gb on Amazon for $409.00 and it has been running at $499.00. I used the Amazon points I had also.  I have one in blue so I ordered this in pink. I have an iPad 9th gen that I will give to my grown daughter as her 8th gen iPad doesn't work right anymore.
I know they probably will drop a little more before Christmas but I had the money saved so when they came on sale to buy one.  I always buy the 256 gb so I always have the memory I want.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. My husband and I are just having a quiet day. My kids, grandchildren and our new granddaughter will have a celebration party at Christmas time.

Why not restore the 8th generation iPad to factory condition?

I traded in my 5 year old iPad at the Apple Store. Ended up paying $219.00 for generation 10.

I know my daughter didn't have the money for a newer iPad and she is on a limited budget. Usually when I upgrade I pass the older one to her. She is all excited now.
She will probably restore it and pass it on to a friend.
Thanks for the suggestion though. I saved money so when I retired, a few years ago, that I could do this. I love Apple products.

Another thing to keep is mind, when buying from Apple directly and from Best Buy, is that every ipad or phone may still have a retail or trade in value attached to it. You can always find out what the trade in value is by going onto the web and finding out what your actual ipad is worth by putting in the serial number of your product. What I do, is either go onto the apple website and "pretend" that I am intestered in buying a new product ( iphone , ipad) go thru their menu of selecting color, storage , and BEFORE you buy it, it asks if you have a trade in. Say yes, then it takes you to a window where they show you how to determine Apples cost for the trade in that will be if you decide to use it toward the down payment for the NEW product. And I stop there once I know, if I decide at that time not to purchase. Also if you take your product for trade in to Best BUY, THEY too will be able to tell you its worth in Apples eyes and apply that value to the purchase of a newer product. I have done this often, also done for computers from Apple. Just a thought to keep in mind.... MJ

Apple does not charge interest as long as your payments each month are made, I have purchased apple products on line using the Apple Card from Goldman Sachs and it has been a true blessing!! MJ
