My ipad is 5 years old and no longer has enough memory to do software updates. I saw QVC's ipad special but I don't need the accessories they use to justify their price. QVC is selling the 256 GB ipad for $639.98 not including tax. I bought th same ipad on Amazon for $400 which includes the tax, expedited shipping and a case that I have used for my ipads. Please shop around for your pricy electronics.

@chessylady I got a similar deal to yours at COSTCO for my 10th generation IPad....around $400.00 including tax.

You can buy from Apple and be billed in installments. They are quick to deliver and if you don't like it will take it back pronto if in good shape.
I would not be afraid to buy recondioned (or whatever hey call it) from them either.

@SoonerJust curious. does Apple charge interest on the installments, or is it the same price as if you had paid in full? (I bought my new iPad about 6 months ago at Best Buy.)

@shoesnbags No, I have never paid interest. I have an Apple card but I don't think that matters. I'd call their customer service for buying and see what they can do. They may have specials or something you could take advantage of. It won't hurt to see!

Thanks for the reply @Sooner . I just bought a new iPad about 6 months ago, but this is good to know for future Apple purchases.

@shoesnbags We have decided that trading up pretty often is a better alternative to letting tech items get old and having no value. I guess basically we are leasing them. . . ????? Anyway, we don't have problems with them and Apple Care is great if something happens.

I purchased a 256 9th gen I pad for $250 reconditioned from Amazon.
Pros: it works just fine; I pay for Apple care every month...this was my decision
Cons: the keyboard! It is very aggravating! I have to try 3 times in order to get to the quotation marks!
It is slower than my "old" iPad, which was the iPad Pro. I used that one until it suffered a "port injury".
The speed of this reconditioned one is not up to par either.
These are a few cons I have noticed. They may seem minute, but if I were needing this for business, I wouldn't purchase this gen. again.🙂

@LTT1 You have to look at the processor each model has to find out what speed you can expect. As to an IPad keyboard I have never used on. I have a Mac Air and think they are great but sometimes dust or bran flake crumb gets in the keyboard and it gets cranky for awhile
Might try some canned air with the keyboard upside down. And it may go away soon and be fine (my l didn't work well for a week or so) or call Apple if it is. under Apple Care or warranty! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I just bought the 10th gen ipad yesterday for $249 !!! From AMZ and actually got it 3 hours later!! I have 2 old ipads--5th and 6th gen ---bought about 8 years ago--no more updatesfor the 5th gen but still can get updates for the 6th gen. I don't need much higher than the 64 GB which is what I ordered. Can get $95 back from Apple if I trade the olds ones in ---
