Download an "ad blocker" and also set up your browsers to block ads.

Ad Block Plus is the top ad blocker - FREE.  There are others research them.

Browser(s) ad blocker option is done through its Preferences/Settings.

I have AdBlocker Plus on my iPad.  Sometimes a website will suggest turning it off to get full benefit from their website.

The place that drives me crazy with adds:  trying to read something on a Google search site.  After one ad after every sentence, I just cancel the article.  Not worth my time. It

My husband works in IT and when he's not busy which is not too many times, but he'll help me.  Anyway, I've been on sites that block YOU if you are using your ad blocker.  QVC, I don't think would do it.....i hope....Smiley Happy

@77yangya  I found that it's usually the "newspaper" websites that block you.  When that happens, you can alert the ad blocker you are using to let you view that site w/all their ads & popup .  When done, reblock the site. Smiley Wink

Some ad blockers will also let you manually decide which websites to block.
