@Kachina624 @cheriere But the OP said she would "love to keep it." She was concerned that the gift was too expensive. Why would she want to get the credit for returning it???

@kaydee50 I hope she does keep the camera. But just in case she's set on returning it, I was trying to figure out how it could easily be done.

Of course it depends on the comfort level in the relationship, but If they are close and the gifter has shared challenged financial issues, I would just be honest with my concerns. I would let him, or her know, that the gift is wonderful, but much too generous.
I definitely would talk to him/her before returning it and having their account credited, if this is even possible. I think that would be more upsetting for the gifter, who might feel like the present wasn't desirable.

@teachergal I am sorry we haven't responded sooner. If you have a recipient that wishes to return a gift and they do not have an account we will open an account for them and the refund will be issued in credits so they may choose another item. If they do not wish to open an account the return will go back to the purchaser credit card.

I received an item as a Christmas gift, too. My friend wanted the set of 3 MukLuks to be "roomy" and it is Huge! Am I correct, that if I use the shipping label, the return shipping will be charged to her? The USPS says no postage necessary, but the UPS label doesn't say anything about a charge.
Do I have to exchange it for the Same item for there to be free shipping? She said I could ask for credit for myself since she wants me to be able to pick something I would like, even though I asked for this item. Seeing it, I would rather have a different item.
