customer service representatives

Most of my customer service experiences are positive. But there are some reps that need a lesson in how to talk to customers. Shelia from Virginia needs training in flexibility and communication.

Re: customer service representatives

I've been lucky to have mostly nice, kind reps when I call. A couple have been a little abrupt.

I usually contact them via chat and have had good luck.

I've not had to call CS much but my experience has always been positive and friendly.

Re: customer service representatives

One is usually told that a sales transaction may be recorded. I suspect customer service reps like Sheila from Virginia don't last long.

Let me tell you about an experience with a service rep that I had - not on QVC or HSN, but at a car dealership. I took my car in for servicing and waited in line for a service rep to write up my service order. The service rep was helping another customer but looked up toward me and said, "Hi babe, how are you?" I responded, "Well I'm not babe, but I'm fine" (that should have elicited an apology but it did not). After my service order was recorded, I went up to the new car sales area and found the sales rep who sold me my car and told him what had happened. He said, "I'll take care of it." I don't know if the service rep was fired or simply was off on future days I was there, but I never saw him again. Calling me babe would have been inappropriate if I'd been 20 years old, but I was 80 years old at the time!

If you want to read a very interesting book about customer service, read Customers for Life by Carl Sewell and Paul B. Brown. The book ought to be required reading by every salesperson and is interesting even if you're not in sales as I've never been.

Re: customer service representatives

I've only called CS once or twice, both positive experiences.  I have sent a few emails to the social team, ALWAYS a prompt reply.  (Usually within the hour).

I have been a QVC shopper for 30+ years and have never had a negative experience with their customer service.  They were always top notch.  Granted, the way we shop and order from QVC has changed over the years and  most of my earlier experience had been with them taking your order.  But, in modern times I have had a few instances where I needed to speak with a CSR and have never been treated poorly.   I think their customer service is one of the areas that they still do well.

Re: customer service representatives

customer service at QVC has always been prompt and efficient. i cannot say that i always like to hear what they have to say, but that is besides the point. cannot even remember the last time i called to speak with a customer service representative. i usually use qvcsocialteam@qvc.com, live chat via the website, or live chat on facebook messenger.

Flexibility and communication to me is sounds like someone wanted policy changed and didn't like hearing it wasn't happening.

I've never had anything but a positive experience in the few times I needed to contact Customer Service.
