I'm so tired of waiting for items to ship ! I know this topic is posted time and time again I'm just so frustrated 😠
I ordered a few clothing items for a very special occasion this coming week. I felt had plenty of time since I ordered last week . Now of course with the plane debacle as well a couple of days ago on top of several days processing I can see I won't get any of these items by early next week. I knew I should have upgraded shipment and wish I had now I should know better with how long shipping takes . If places like Amazon can get an item to me in 2 days tops why can't QVC🤷♀️
What else bothers me is how you can't cancel items within a few hours and then takes days to even ship , so why can't I cancel , makes no sense. 🤨 sorry I just needed to vent 🙂

WHY?
They got your cash in their hands and in their accounts and your merchandise, too. Used to be your card wasn't charged until an item shipped.
Win/win for them.

My clothing items have been shipping very fast, in as little as 24 hours and all in. A maximum of 3-4 days. There have been some delays at the California warehouses due to flooding. I have no shipping complaints.
Amazon gets preferential service from all shippers If I was a retailer I'd have a fit about it.
Upgrading shipping doesn't speed up processing time, just travel time. Generally A waste of money.

20+ years ago, I could count on my packages being to my home within 6 calendar days of ordering. Those were the days! This week, I actually ended up not ordering something for which I had an unexpected and urgent need, because if it didn't fit, and I had to exchange it, it would be--at minimum--a 3 week turn around time to get the exchange. I ended up going to TJMaxx and finding something that would work probably equally as well at a somewhat lesser cost. Their slow processing/shipping cost them a sale. Also, as little as 5 years ago, you could cancel an order several hours, heck...even the next day...after a purchase. Those days are long gone, too.

I've been getting my stuff in a reasonable time frame. Maybe, it depends on where it's coming from.

Q doesn't ship as much as they used to. Orders are fulfilled by vendors which don't feel the same urgency.
Remember, Q and most vendors use the cheapest shipping possible, which is also the slowest method.
IMO, no one should expect an Q order to arrive in 2 weeks anymore. Plan on at least 4 weeks and smile if it's sooner.

I don't understand why some companies can get you your items in a couple days and others take a week or even longer! And some companies give you free shipping and still your package arrives in a day or two. Makes no sense to me. I recently ordered from two different companies that I rarely, if ever, order from and thought --- well, this will be a week or so. Within two days, my packages came!

@Kitty Galore I'm actually having the opposite problem. I have always expected about a 2 week time frame to receive my items. We have 2 homes, different states, and divide our time between the two. So, I have to estimate when an item will be received and which home to ship it to. Yikes, they are shipping so much faster this last month or so that my items are arriving too soon. I have two items arriving several days sooner than the ETA so they will be on the front porch for a couple days until we arrive.
@Snowpuppy In all my years of shopping with QVC and thousands of items ordered, I have never been charged for an item until it is shipped. This is the reason no price adjustment can take place until it's shipped because you are not charged. You may show a "pending" charge but it never goes through until shipped.
As @Kachina624 said, all the clothing items are shipping far sooner than their normal ship time. Being I am in California this is to my advantage when it comes from the Ontario warehouse. I get items in about 3 days. I just wish I knew where an item was coming from then I would know the approximate time I would receive it.

They clearly tell you the estimated delivery date when you order. For the life of me I can't understand these posts.

@CalminHeart I don't recall having ever had an order take 4 weeks to arrive and very seldom do they take 2 weeks. Gross exaggeration.
