I recently purchased a Denim & Co. shirt.  I don't know why QVC keeps using USPS as their choice for shipping when it is a clothing item.  My shirt has been sitting about 45 minutes away for the past 3 days.  It has never been sent to my local post office for delivery.  When UPS Sure Post is used, I nearly always receive the items 2 days early if UPS decides to deliver it and one day earlier than the posted delivery date if it is delivered by the post office.  I realize that shipping costs keep rising, but happy customers are also worth something for a business.  Now, I don't know if it is lost.  In which case I will have to wait the 2 weeks that Qvc suggests in the event of a missing package or if the postal service is just this slow.  I find this very frustrating.

I really just hate the SmartPost concept; UPS and USPS in my area are both fantastic (FedEx is another story), but when they have to work together for the SmartPost handoff, I can typically expect my package to be delivered four days after it arrives in my city instead of on the same day or the next day as it would if it were to go through either courier individually.

I hope you get your package soon, @Tuppermore!

Thank you, Kim.  I appreciate the time that you took to respond and that you will track the shipping to ensure I receive my order.

I get the fastest service when my items are shipped straight USPS with no UPS involvement.  At least the post office doesn't destroy my packages.

Kim, I received the shirt late Friday afternoon.  It appears that someone never scanned the package for tracking because it still shows that it is at the KC Post Office.  Thank you again for your time and effort.  I am grateful that you cared and responded to my concerns.

I agree,I would like all my packages sent by UPS.The USPS is to slow.I signed up for My Choice with UPS.They intercept the package and its then upgraded to a faster delivery date..costs 3.50 per package but worth it to me.

I have wondered if it has something to do with the cheaper $3.00 shipping fee.  This started happening in my neighborhood just about the time the cheaper fee on clothing was put into operation.  However, ,most of my higher priced purchases seem to still come from UPS,  I would love to know the actual facts about this too.

All I can tell you is in my case the problem has been the fault of the local  Post Office.  When I mentioned to my postman that my packages were listed as received by the PO as much as two weeks before , he found there were 3 occasions where they were still sitting in the back room of the post office.  Now he always double checks to make sure the staff has done their job and so all packages since have been delivered without delay
