I totally agree with the messed up shipping with two carriers. More than a coupleof  times I have not gotten a delivery that was important due to the "snail mail" handling of it on the back end. One Xmas present came 3 days after the holiday because the PO legally has a 10 day window to deliver a package. And I too, got dead plants fron QVC because they sat in a cold truck over a holiday weekend. And once the PO has it, the tracking number seldom works, so what good is that?  Ugh!
