I recently went online to check where 1 item of 3 ordered at the same time might be. I was being charged monthly for all 3 items. I went to tracking of the order and saw a note from UPS. They had rejected the package. When I asked customer service about this, their response was that something must have been wrong with the package! So why wasn't I informed? Surely QVC & UPS coordinate when this happens? QVC refunded my payments, but took no responsibility for any of this! I'm quite disgusted with some of the auctions of the Q lately.

Of course it could be legit. Package opened, other reasons, too, but just received on from UPS with the entire side CUT (SLICED) open by someone. I guess whoever did it didn't want what was inside. I've had UPS deliver packages with contents spilling out of them on to my step.
This sounds very fishy to me, though. When I see notifications like this, I think of Newgistics masquerading as UPS. I don't think it was QVC, at all. Newgistics is such a liar.
Not only do we dislike Newgistics, I was talking to my local Post Office employees a few days ago. They don't like Newgistics, either.
Try tracking at SHIP24.com to see if that company was involved in shipping your order.

I know it is frustrating and perhaps you are venting @CABRIT but once a package leaves QVC warehouse it is beyond their control what a shipper does or doesn't do.
QVC is very good about supplying tracking numbers. They ship thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of packages a day. In my opinion it is the buyers responsibility to track the items. If your package does get lost it is very easy to contact QVC, as you state you did, and they will refund your money, no questions asked.
Again, mistakes are made by shippers, situations arise beyond anybodys control. I would not blame any business for the irresponsible actions/weather/mistakes by USPS, UPS or any other shipper.

@CABRIT Have had some tough times with UPS also. If items are shipped in plastic bags, they arrive with footprints all over them and have to wipe the package down as well as clean my hands after handling it.
This holiday, I'm assuming it was a temporary driver, delivered 5 of my packages to my neighbor across the street.
Another package was returned to LLBean saying that the customer refused to accept it......I never received it. It was a small gift for a grandson - Bean refunded my $$ once they received the package back.

It is my responsibility to track.
I've had items disappear...how is QVC supposed to know it never made it outta Rossford OH if I DON"T tell them???
They ship thousands and thousands of items each day.....add every other vendor in the US and you can't expect USPS or UPS to follow your one item.
It just doesn't work that way.
One item, UPS tracking notated the bag was received empty....I was the one that called QVC.to get my credit.

@CABRIT Why would you be disgusted? You called, they refunded - sounds like a win to me.
