Good evening CS,
I received a package today that had two items packaged together. However, I was charged shipping PER item, as they were ordered separately.
Please help me understand how 2 clothing items in the same envelope (not even a box) can cost $19.94 to ship. What calculation does QVC use? Please provide actual data that can explain this calculation
if QVC is going to start combining items then logic would dictate there should be one shipping charge, not two (or however many items are in the same package).

ITA.......... had 3 clothes items shipped in one bag and charged an individual fee for all. My feeling is that if there is not reduced shipping on multiple items - pack them separately.

Logical or not, they're now shipping multiple items in the same package. That means when they lose a package, you not only lose one item but may lose several. I'd rather they piggy back items than raise shipping rates. This has been going on for several weeks, not new.

I would not pay the shipping charges mentioned here for blouses, regardless of how many packages they sent them in. I see $3.00 shipping on the website for these.

The same thing happened to me also. My shipping wasn't as expensive as yours but I did get charged for 2 items in the one box. Maybe it's the weight of both????

@Tissyanne. I understand that is what you see but it is not what I get to pay for shipping.

@Kat13...I don’t think that could be it. I ordered the two items days apart and the shipping calculated was for each item. Who knows? I have a feeling I won’t get a response from CS.

@Kachina624...I guess it’s relative. Even if it has been in place for a few weeks, I personally consider a few weeks as still being fairly new. It’s not like it’s been a few months. I just experienced it for the first time today.

@SurferWife- It is a relatively new practice and I have to wonder if that's why there are so many "technical issues" (the words of the CS rep I chatted with tonight) in the shipping department.
I got two different orders in the same package last month and I admit it surprised me, how they managed to put them together (but couldn't combine the S&H). They were both clothing items, too.
At least you got your orders; more than I can say for the two of mine that still haven't left the warehouse after more than a week (hence the chat and the "technical issues"). I did ask what the "technical issues" were but got the standard "I don't have that information" response.
QVC really needs to get its act together. If whoever is in charge of the shipping department (and I mean at the executive level) can't do better than this, it's time they found someone new to take over.

QVC sticks it to their customers with their excessive shipping charges. If you find something you like, go look at other sites. That's what I do, and the vast majority of the time I don't have to pay shipping.
