I am wondering if there is an extended timeframe on big ticket purchases beyond the standard 30 days?

I've never heard of one, except for the Hairmax cap. The return for that is 180 days.

 No thanks, those items , I'll buy where there is a better return policy  because  you never know if you'll  get a defective item. I  had problems with Dyson humidifier  that  stopped working less  than a yr old. Then  I had to deal with the company who would not send a replacement but rather  sent me a repaired item.
