Received message my order will be delivered tomorrow, Tuesday.

I live in Tenn.   Tracking info shows package left PA on 8/1.  Arrived in NC on 8/2.  On 8/3 arrived at Salt Lake UT.     Says it's in transit to location and will arrive 8/5, Tuesday.

why did it go to UT, when I live one state over from NC?    Maybe Superman is delivering the package.   LOL.

any bets I don't get the package?   Not counting on it.

@Mi47 - It sounds like an erroneous scan showed up in your tracking; that definitely happens with all of the couriers from time to time. Even with an overnight shipment, it is unlikely it would make it from NC to UT in one day, so I would guess your next update or scan will show the package somewhere closer to your location. Fingers crossed that you'll get it tomorrow...  Smiley Happy

@Mi47. Sounds like it was put on the wrong truck.  I wouldn't expect it on them 5th but it'll make it's way home soon.

@Mi47 - Stranger things have happened.  I had a QVC package shipped from Ontario, California.  It made it all the way across the country.

I'm in New England.  It went to a sorting office about 20 miles past my town.  And then - yes, same thing - ended up in Utah!  I couldn't believe it.  Why would my package, that I could've driven to the next town to pick up, suddenly be sent halfway back across the country?

It did eventually make its way back to me, but who on earth is running these things?

I've also had them arrive at my local sorting office only to sent off on a magical mystery tour back and forth around my state.  There is no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Right now I'm waiting for a package that is meant to be delivered today, but still no sign of it.  And our post office closes at 4:15.

@Venezia.  Ever see those conveyor belts in UPS warehouses shooting packages off in every direction?  It's no wonder errors are made.  I'm surprised there aren't more.

@Kachina624 - LOL, yes, I have, but my package was at a smaller post office before it suddenly went on a national walkabout.  Not the first time it's happened and definitely won't be the last.

This happens quite often -- no matter what form you have sent it --USPS, UPS,others.

I am in the midst of something similar. I sent a small !!! little package to my husband's aunt. Just a few towns over but we wanted it to get to her to use during an event coming up. The PO is just down the street from the Postal distribution center. I was told it would be received LAST Friday. It still has not been received. It went downtown. Then to the distribution center --spoken of. It went down town again. It is supposed to be received today but I DOUBT IT. I should have just taken the hour and dropped it off to my husband's aunt--but I was a bit busy. There doesn't seem to be any packaging transport I trust.

Last year I sent a package to California. It made it to its destination 5 days late because I guess it wanted to go on a sightseeing trip to the distribution centers on the EAST Coast.

Well, my package still says "Out for delivery" and the time keeps getting pushed back later and later.

We have a very long drive and I decided, if it wasn't here by now, it wouldn't arrive today, so I walked down.  And there it was in the mailbox, but the carrier clearly didn't bother to update the tracking.

It will be interesting, if he does update it tomorrow, what time it will say it was actually deliverred.  We know it wasn't there by 5 o'clock, as my DH walked down then and it wasn't there.  (And he said he wasn't walking down again!  So I did.)

Hi, @Mi47 !  I've had this happen a couple of times.  Most recently a shipment from the Ontario, CA warehouse, which is 4 hours driving time from me went to Reno-Sparks, NV 8 hours driving time northwest of me.

When I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii a Q shipment flew right by me and went to Guam before it finally headed my way.

In both cases, it took a couple of extra days but both orders arrived.

Was it sent by Q's usual shipping?  If so, it's parcel post and is moved from place to place by non-USPS third parties. They don't make a trip if it isn't profitable so it can go anywhere while in transit.

You're lucky it moved all three days.
