Re: Shipping is terrible

[ Edited ]

I had a package ship on May 3rd...I never received it. I did receive a refund, but the item has sold out, so that's not much of a consolation. I believe it was stolen in the UPS depot. I'm not buying that the label fell off. That rarely happens. It's unfortunate.

I'm really at the point of not shopping here anymore because the shipping is just so terrible. My item shipped May 15th and I still haven't received it. I've had similar experiences in the past.

With all of the shopping options available, you would think QVC would make sure their shipping was at least competitive. No one needs this aggravation.

Q's standard shipping is usually the lowest priority mail. It almost always requires a third party (not related to USPS) to move packages from place to place. If you aren't on the main path for these third parties, packages may sit for a while. Third parties are not going to make a trip if it isn't profitable.

Slow processing, shipping, and returns handling are big reasons why I haven't bought much. Plus, I can usually find everything elsewhere for less money.

@AnnoyedCustomer If it's USPS, I've heard USPS changes have caused delays in mail.  Not sure if it also applies to packages.  The 2 places with new USPS processing I heard about are in Atlanta and Richmond, VA.  I've since heard that any further similar changes have been put on hold for now.  People in these areas are not getting prescriptions, checks, etc. in a timely way

I have to agree, shipping is terrible! (No wonder Amazon is so popular. They control the entire transaction from order to delivery.)  The biggest mistake that QVC is making is using UPS which then switches to Mail Innovations (whatever that is) which then is delivered by USPS. Who thought this was a good idea? My package, ordered 5/15,  left PA on 5/16.Went to NJ to UPS on that day. Why go from P A to NJ when it's destination is OH? Anyway, the next day it arrived in Rossford,OH which is less than 50 miles from me. THEN it went to Lincoln Park MI which is some 50 more miles north. There it sits. My package is now 87 miles from me and it's a holiday weekend so add yet another day. I complained to UPS and they, of course, are blaming USPS because that's where their sorting facility is, or some such cr*p. QVC PLEASE drop this Mail Innovations link. Things were !such speedier using just UPS. Wow. Glad that's off my chest.

My shipping experience recently has been terrific.

Two items ordered last Free Shipping Sunday arrived on Thursday morning.

I think that's pretty good and well within the usually expected time frame.

I'm with ya. I ordered something May 4th, and it looks like it was finally delivered today, the 29th.  USPS is horrible lately.

I am really disappointed with their shipping.  I ordered a handbag last week that I want to take on vacation with me that I leave this Saturday.  I ordered because the delivery date was days before I leave.  I have been checking and it is still "preparing"  there is no way that I am going to get this in time but what really gets me mad is it will be delivered when I am not home and have to ask someone to get it for me.  This is ridiculous!

I think both major shippers UPS and USPS are in rerouting right now. I have had different UPS delivers and my regular told me he has given  new routes  that  are unfamilar and moving people around.

My mail carrier told me he is changing routes as tired of all the packages. He said he new route is more miles but less packages to deliver.

Don't forget to offer water when it is hot. My UPS carrier said he prepared with a cooler the other day and good.Yesterday my USPS was grateful when I handed him a bottle if water. Always take it he says.
