Re: Shipping--US Mail or UPS Mail Innovations

@Melvin-QVC I understand.  The options if they are listed are always more expensive but they only list the number of days they do not tell you the shipper and the method.  I would like to choose either straight USPS or straight UPS. My two orders per tracking are still on their way to the USPS via UPS Mail Innovations.   So stupid when the product was 3 hrs away from me to start.

Re: Shipping--US Mail or UPS Mail Innovations

I have similar issues. Paid $5.50 to ship Chef Tony cookbook. EDD July 5. Even though it was delivered to a USPS Post Office 22207, very close to where I live on July 3. It was shipped back to NC instead of transferring to my local post office for delivery. Honestly there should be a shipping reimbursement on this purchase for such bad service. Paid $7.50 for UPS shipping of a 16 lb step stool. Waited all day for UPS to deliver to my door only to find out they delivered to third party location I never agreed to now I have to go and pick up the heavy item. Tempted to tell them to return to sender. I should not be paying to have something shipped to my home and then have to drive somewhere spending more money to pick it up. All carriers are problematic as far as I'm concerned.

My Lisa Rinna TSV top shipped on July 3rd from Lancaster PA (2 hrs away from DC by car) and has been sitting at the main post office in the county next door since late evening on July 5th!  What's up w/that?!?

Before this Mail Innovations nonsense, pkgs from Lancaster would arrive in 2-3 days.

Re: Shipping--US Mail or UPS Mail Innovations

I would like to know the same thing, can I chose UPS only delivery.  A package was delivered yesterday which the post office said was given to an "agent" whatever that means.  I was home all day long and never got that package.  Now I have to contact post office to see who got my package.  The delivery via UPS to the local post office is rather stupid...the UPS truck goes down my street every single day...

@Queen Linda  Given to an agent means that it was given to the USPS (usually) to deliver.  Delivered is what means delivered.  Your package hasn't been delivered yet.  Usually you get it a couple of days after it was delivered to an agent.

@Queen Linda: Yes, you can choose UPS only delivery, if you sign up for a UPS/My Choice Premium Membership. It will cost you $40.00 per year, but, if you receive packages on a regular basis, it may be worth it. I have a premium membership and feel it's worth it. I can decide if I want my package(s) delivered UPS Ground delivery instead of UPS/Surepost. Another benefit is if, for example, you won't be home at the time your package is delivered. You can decide to have your package held at a UPS Store or UPS Access Point for pickup. I think it's $40.00 well spent. Check it out on the UPS website.
