The delay in shipping preparation from QVC or it's vendors has increased dramatically. I placed an order for an in stock item on 8/24 and it didn't leave the building until 8/29 finally arriving in So Cal yesterday. Two orders placed on 8/28 took 3 days to ship but sat in Hodgkins, Illinois for another 3 days before departing on 9/5 to So Cal. No new status as of 9/7 which is already 2 days beyond EDD.
The combination of poor warehouse logistics to prep an item for shipment along with the method that QVC has chosen for delivery make me think twice before ordering.
The Q built a brand on quality. I suggest they look inward at the type of service they are providing and hold themselves accountable to the same standard they expect of their vendors. The same expectation should be required of the shippers they choose to contract. Lower cost to client does not necessarily mean greater gain to bottom line when customers lose faith. I sincerely hope that management will revisit decisions.
Thanks for for allowing the vent.

It seems like what you've experienced is the new normal. I don't see things improving anytime soon. It's obvious the transportation industry was not prepared for the sudden surge of Internet shopping. It has really taken off the past couple of years.
We basically have only 3 transportation choices; UPS, USPS, and FedEx. The post office has operated with questionable efficiency for years and is again going to be asking for a big increase in rates to 60¢ for a first class letter. Then, not being able to reliably get a letter to its destination, they've taken on deliveries for UPS and FedEx. Can you see where they'd be overwhelmed? That's probably why these so-called "shipping partners" have materialized.
QVC now seems to be using 100% a combo of UPS and USPS, or all USPS, with nothing shipped UPS all the way to your front door. I'd just as soon they stayed away from FedEx delivery since their drivers apparently cannot read and comprehend addresses.
That Hodgkins, IL., place is the largest UPS distribution center in the world. My first packages to go there stayed 5 days but they're improving and now some are in and out the same day, two at the most. Then they're 2 days on the road, reach the destination city and UPS and the PO exchange data for a day or two and eventually someone will try to deliver it.
I think we can't expect shipping to improve much, it's going to get more expensive, everyone is having growing pains, and look out for the Christmas season! Mail early.

Totally agree with the original author of this subject and in fact, I just got finished complaining myself about an item I ordered on the 1st and it is still sitting in Hodgkins, IL MAYBE the more we rant QVC will get the idea we are fed up with this service....oh stupid me, why say that....they do not care!

Could be as one of the other posters said: More people shopping on line and overwhelming the shipping process. We may as well get used to it cause it's not going to stop.

I feel your pain! I ordered from QVC, WalMart, MizMooz, and Amazon on the same day. I have received my orders from everyone EXCEPT QVC. I have started looking for other vendors to purchase from directly; the prices and shipping are superior. I was excited to see that the Q is FINALLY allowing free exchanges, but I have yet to receive the replacements for items I returned for exchange over 2 weeks ago. And it's impossible to track the shipping on the replacement item. It only gives you an EDD when you view the order.

I do online ordering all the time....other companies I order from ship my orders out THE SAME DAY or at most the next day. I receive these orders within 2 to three days top....and get FREE SHIPPING!
What is wrong with QVC?

I don't believe it's "the surge of internet shopping" at all. Amazon manages to get my stuff to me in two days, no problem. QVC's main issue is that stuff sits "in process" for a ridiculous length of time before the package goes ANYWHERE. Then they use the absolute cheapest and slowest shipping available which adds to the aggravation.
I'm ordering less and less from QVC. Too many negatives (sizing, quality issues, poor shipping, etc.)
Attention QVC: You have lots of competition. Perhaps you should start LISTENING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS while you still have them.

My last Amazon order which consisted of 3 Prime eligible items, and I'm a Prime member, took 5 days to get to me. I haven had anything arrive in just 2 days as they claim. They've slowed down a lot too.

I rarely order from the Q due to extremely slow shipping and expensive costs. I don't wait like this on HSN and most things are free S & H. Amazon is the best. Lucky for all of us the Q isn't the only game in town.
