Returned item with no explanation

[ Edited ]

I placed an order on 4/10/20 order

and it was returned with NO EXPLANATION! That happened to be a gift.  If QVC's business methods are as such.  I will no longer patronize QVC.  What I'd like to do at this point is to cancel the order.

Re: Returned item with no explanation

It's possible that the error is with the post office (or UPS)--not QVC. If you still have the tracking number for whichever company was shipping the item, see where it was last before it was marked to be returned. I would call that post office or UPS office and ask why was it returned. It's also possible that the address part of the label was ripped off. When it arrived at the post office, they had no idea where the package was to go. So, they just returned it. So many times, the companies are blamed for shipping errors. It's not always the companies' fault.

I've had that happen three times, not just with QVC. In QVC's case, it was the post office who made the error both times. The post office offered no explanation in one case and in another they said my mailbox was full, so they just returned it the package instead of walking it to the door. In the third case, another company I have a monthly subscription with, my address was incorrect on one shipment and it was returned because no such address existed. That was their fault and they sent a replacement.

If you contact customer service and let them know what happened, they can send out a replacement if one is in stock. Make sure your correct address is on file. It's a hassle, but they will do what they can to make it right.

@Bervin   I am sorry this happened, notes on the order show that several attempts were made to deliver.  We have refunded the order for you and if you change your mind and wish to reorder we will be happy to honor the price & EZ Pays.

My apologies again,

Susan

Re: Returned item with no explanation

Thank you for letting me know.  That's strange that it was stated several attempts tried.  I've been working from home for a month.  But just to clarify, the order has been candelled?

Thank you,

Belinda

@Bervin, check the address on your account. It could be the wrong address was recorded and that's why they couldn't deliver.

It's unusual for you not to have had delivery attempt notices left in the mailbox or at you door.

I have several friends in condo and apartment complexes who have reported that sometimes UPS has returned something as "multiple attempts" when they had been home all week. It doesn't happen often and usually happens at high volume times, like Christmas. They've always suspected the driver just couldn't find the right building and gave up.

One had a package delivered by Amazon just last week and couldn't find it anywhere near her door. She went to look at the picture Amazon delivery people are required to send and found that the delivery person had left at least 10 packages for various residents in a common area of the apartment building entrance and did not deliver ANY of them to individual doors.
