I returned a pair of joggers for a smaller size and asked for an exchange.  The size and color I want is available but all they did was credit my account and I never received the new pair.  I'm not about to get into calling and trying to make it right.  I'll just never order another pair of pants because the last thing I need in my life is more hassle.  I know the size top I wear so that's never an issue but pants are a different story.  Lesson learned.

What, too busy to pick up a phone and call, but not too busy for this comment?  If you are just ordering another pair, what's the point?

That was an unnecessary snarky comment.  Just saying.

Not to mention that the OP said she was NOT ordering another pair of pants.

It is actually good that you post this. People have so much faith in the returns dept.  They never read the return slip, and hearing this should make everyone realize they do NOT EVER read the slips!

I don't even bother with the exchange program because they are terrible at it.

I just re-order what I need and call customer service and tell them I am not paying the return shipping fee. They have always fixed it for me.

If the price has changed, and it is higher, I still just re-order and call customer service to tell them I am not paying the higher price.

I find the worst thing about the exchange program is that they do not pull out what you want while they wait for the return. You just know that item is going to air again before your return gets there, and what you needed will sell out. I won't play that game and end up with nothing.

I don't understand why they don't function like HSN. HSN sends out your exchange immediately and you have 10 or 15 days to get your item back. If you screw up, then you pay for two. It is on you to get it back.

I feel like HSN's way is more fair.

Re: Return For Exchange ??

[ Edited ]

Same thing happened to me several times.  Between processing exchanges as returns when items are in stock and being sold out of my size and colors, decided not to exchange anything anymore.  If it didn't fit, it was returned.
