I used my Direct Express Card in December to ofcourse order Christmas gifts. I used my Direct Express Card to make my payment. I attempted to place an order for an Air Fryer and received a message stating my card was not accepted because it is a prepaid card. I had one more payment due from the December order that QVC took off my card in March. I almost feel as if it is discrimanatory. I have a regular checking through my bank but prefer my card. If a person was not credit worthy it wouldn't matter if it was coming off your checking debit card or the card I choose to use. If they were not going to pay for the product they wouldn't. I am so unhappy with QVC.

I can understand why they wouldn't take a pre-paid debit card. It may be discriminatory but it's not illegal discrimination, more like company policy.

As any retailer, they choose what forms of payment they will accept.
Discrimination? Not so much.

I would question why they accepted it before, has there been a change in policy? There really is no more risk with a pre paid or debit from checking account. I have never used a debit card on the Q, so I don't know if they accept them or not. I would insist on a better explanation. There is more to this story IMO. Q wants sales, that's why so much ezpay. I would also contact the issurer of the card.

@Queen1220 I wonder if an employee made an error at Christmas time and in the chaos of the season, somehow it was not caught. I just looked at QVC's accepted payment methods and I am amazed they took your card at all - it's not listed as a card they accept.
I do not believe it has anything to do with discrimination. All companies pick and choose what they accept. They sign contracts with the card companies to have them accept the billings. Apparently QVC has no contract with your company, but worked something out so you didn't lose your Christmas shipments.

Call CS and talk with somebody who knows something..........(challenge Number 1) LOL
I use my debit card for Q purchases but in the past used a prepaid American Express card for Q with no problem.
Perhaps they are limiting the number of acceptable cards - - but I'd give customer service a shot....before taking my marbles and going 'home'.

@Queen1220 - Welcome to the forums! A few months ago, I read (sorry that I cannot recall where) that many companies are discontinuing acceptance of prepaid cards for purchases made through payment plans due to extensive fraud losses. If you tried to buy your item using Easy Pay, perhaps that is a reason for the decline. It may not be your preferred option depending on the price of the item, but perhaps if you try using your card to purchase the item at full price, it might work? Good luck...

@loriqvc you are correct. I'm surprised they accepted a pre-paid card for Easy Pay or any kind of payment plan. Someone made a mistake somewhere.
Pre-paid cards are used for a one time payment.

Maybe they don't want to take a chance that there will be no available balance for the easy pay payments.
