@cjm61 -  I save items sometimes to wait for a promo code or free shipping opportunity or just to flag something I like randomly......including "as Is" items and very recently saw one of those items change price.

@Kachina624 - I boycotted Amazon about 3 years ago. I won't give them a penny

Do you think QVC uses some sort of algorithm or AI that automatically adjusts prices? I can understand that it is to their advantage to encourage the consumer to buy before the price goes up but some of the price fluctuations don't make any sense to me.  I can't imagine there is a team of people that makes these changes on a daily basis.

These price fluctuations on QVC haven't just started with the recent tariff issues.

They've been going on far longer than that, so it has nothing to do with current conditions.  It's as if someone thinks it's a good idea to just keep playing with the prices to see IF the customer is paying attention and how much someone is willing to pay.

No other retailer I know increases the price of something on clearance (or "As Is"), but QVC does.  As a customer, I no longer trust their pricing.  I only buy when I decide it's the lowest price I'm happy with.  Especially, since they changed the terms of their price guarantee policy to eliminate virtually every category except regular and "sale" prices.  And even then, it seems to depend upon which CS rep you get.  Woman Frustrated

The difference between QVC and most other retailers is they raise prices on clearance and As-Is items. I thought the goal of these items is to clear inventory so more can come in?.At least that's what the hosts tell us. Also, you can't blame the tariffs for this because clearance and as-is items are not new items coming in from overseas. They are items that have already been in the warehouse before these tariffs were imposed.
