I purchased and have purchased Josie Maran products before. Like many that have written reviews and returned, the containers arriverd not quite full. And yes, I do know and understand settlement of products, but a hole in the middle? I contacted customer service because of the number of reviews I saw with the same problem and the answer was settlement and that the on air displays are "whipped up" before the presentation so it can be deceiving - to me that's false advertising. I think there must be a problem at the factory with the number of people reporting this and asked if they read the reviews and advise their vendors when there seems to be a defect, apparently not. So, purchase at your own risk. I cancelled all QVC orders and will never shop with them again, they don't seem to be screening thier items or caring about the quality of what they are offering.

It's called being dishonest.

I wonder why Jose's manufacturer doesn't put a seal on the jars? That would put an end to all the speculation and accusations.

This "center hole" phenomenon happens in squat jars (jars that are wider than they are tall)
It's due to the physics of the jar's dimentions, not the brand or a faulty fill.
I've also seen product that shifted to fill one half of a squat jar, leaving the other half of the jar completely empty.
When the product was given a couple of days to re-settle (and a couple of bangs on the counter) it shifted back, and the jar that previously appeared to only be half-filled now 'magically' appeared to be completely full.
There's nothing wrong or 'short' about the amount dispensed into the jar. This phenomenon doesn't happen in jars that are equal or taller than their width.
But squat jars are easier to reach into.
Josie's over-filled jars, on display during presentations is another matter.
I agree it is deceptive.

Too bad there's not an easy way to weigh the product - that would seem to be the only way to resolve the issue of how much we're receiving.

Agreed @Kachina624...I have asked the same question and stopped ordering some of Josie's whipped Argan oil because there are no seals. How do I know this product has not been tampered with...at least put a clear security seal on the side of the jar so that I will know that it has not been opened.

i feel your pain
most containers/jars are never filled to the rim. jars are larger then the amount that will be added.
i knew one of two thing about the jars shown on air, either more body butter was added to those jars or they were whipped up more. could be to make it easier to use/demonstrate with. i don't know.
i know things that are whipped have a lot of air initially and then at some point they get a little flat.
what caused me to stop buying whipped body butter was because i realized that i was using more of it, then any other brand. so, i'm just sticking with korres body butter. it's not whipped. i hope that you find a brand that meets your needs soon.

From my perspective, it’s best to avoid “whipped” products because some of what you are paying for is air.
