I placed an order for two items on April 30. There were supposed to arrive by May 7. Fine. Except they still have not shipped!

On May 8, I tried to cancel my order; however, I got a message saying I could not cancel and I would have to call Customer Service. The rep said my order is too far along to cancel but I can send them back for a refund. If they haven't shipped, why can't I cancel? They still haven't shipped as of May 10 and I still cannot cancel the order.

I have no idea what's going on with QVC, but it's not good.

You can rarely cancel an order after it has placed

Makes you wonder if they are delinquent in paying some bills.  If it is indeed in stock and available, why won't the shipper pick it up?  Or is the warehouse short 

staffed?

@Q_Princess  - If the order is coming from their Ontario, CA warehouse, there was a technical problem there and shipping items has been delayed.  I ordered something around the same date as you and it shipped yesterday.  You will get it, it'll just take some time for the warehouse to catch up with their orders.

It's pretty common that you can't cancel or change an order within minutes of ordering.

@Q_Princess This is very common with all online retailers. You are not given the precise location and process the item is in. Just because it hasn't shipped doesn't mean it's not moving through the process. You are usually notified of shipment once it's actually got a shipping label.

What works for me, I only order something I know I want, and definitely not when I need it soon. I pretty much forget about it until I receive a notice it's shipped.

Some items I may receive in 3 days after ordering, others may take a couple weeks. If you need something soon, don't order from QVC. It's always been this way.

Canceling an order whether it's just been placed a minute ago or an hour ago or, in this case, just not shipping can't be done.  Either they lack the software to be able to cancel orders or they don't know how or don't want to.  It can be done.  My husband has worked in IT for over 40 years.  Was a CIO and was in charge of all the warehouses across the country.  He now builds the software.  It can be done.

@Still Raining. I'm guessing shipping from Asia is in chaos right now and ships aren't arriving on time...or there could be other reasons.

This is probably just the beginning.  I read just today that zero ships from China are bound to California's top ports. This hasn't been seen since the pandemic.

Been a Q customer for 38 years.
I've posted LESS THAN 100 comments in 15 years on these boards.
But in the last week, I've posted MORE than ever before.
WHY?
Because ORDERS seem to be processing for a long time and NOT shipping.
Seems like most of the complaints are about delays with processing orders and shipping times.

Never seen anything like it.

And yes, I know the Ontario California warehouse had some issues; but how does that account for so many problems? Q has more than one warehouse.

I don't think management of any sort pays attention to these boards anymore...they used to many years ago.
It's a different time now.
