On 2/16/19 I ordered 2 sets of Kuhn Rikon Set of Large Glass Spice Grinders, Item# K48545 (one white set, one black set), $24.50 + S&H $5.50 each set.  The "in process" continued day after day then I received a "delayed" message from QVC 2/22.  They said I should receive by 2/28, mind you both are still "in process" as of this post.  The email I received was the typical, "we can do better".  OK, do better by sending both via free shipping for the delay alone--$11.00 shipping cost for these 2 sets with this kind of inconsiderate customer service?

Now, what annoys me is this item is offered on the website with no indication it is on waitlist, backorder, advance or delay shipping, selling it to the public, yet sending me, and perhaps others a "delay" email notice.  I tried to cancel, says in process of mailing and I do need these since my older model Kuhn Rikon grinder is falling apart.

When I responded with my disgust, I got the typical form letter about sorry, we will pass your opinion on, etc.  BS!

This is making me disenchanted with QVC in spite of being a customer from CVN days. This "care-less" attitude will affect my future purchases. Going through AD and advanced orders to cancel some. It is good they changed programming for it showed me how poor QVC has become in not only picking hosts, new hosts, then assigning them to shows handled by "previously" good hosts, and designing shows for the public. The replacement CE and LeCreuset reps leave much to be desired.

Update:  during the last 45 min, my order page states the black set was shipped 2/23......this is not typical, usually posts "shipped" same day it ships, but it posted today, not yesterday!

They continue to lock in orders for merchandise they don't have.  It's unethical. You've made excellent points. What they fail to realize is that it's easier to keep a customer than to get a new one, especially with their demographic.

I have to agree, that's unacceptable CS.  To not even offer an explanation of what's delaying your order and offering some kind of courtesy voucher or free expedited shipping, at the very least.

It was a very long time ago, but I had an order go to backorder (no explanation), then waitlist (no explanation).  But when I checked the item was still in stock.  I was able to cancel the "waitlist" order and reorder.  It was something I really wanted and I didn't want to risk waiting 45 days for them to tell me it was no longer available.

Sometimes QVC's system is just downright poorly run.  It doesn't seem to have kept up with technological advances.  I hope you get things sorted out.

@ScarletDove  I've had this sort of thing happen to me on several occasions. Sometimes I eventually receive the items, and sometimes I'm told they were offered in error. We get used to other websites great shipping, and QVC is not keeping up.
