I ordered a pair of Prive Revaux glasses that were on sale (A476938) in black, which showed as being in stock. I checked my order the other day and it showed as being BACKORDERED, which surprised me since the item still showed to be in stock. I figured it was a glitch in the system coding and it would turn to PROCESSING and ship.
Yesterday I received an email that the item was no longer available for immediate shipment. I understand things happen and it's just a pair of readers... no big deal. I was pleased to get a notice letting me know, which makes for good customer service, HOWEVER, if you are letting me know an item is not available for immediate delivery, you may want to at least show that on the website as well, and put it in a wait list status, or possibly create a new status since this is happening all over with items of every kind. Thanks.

Suggest you send an email to: QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com
Include your ORDER NUMBER in the email. The MODS will sort this out for you.

@Mz iMac Thanks .... I was thinking of doing that. They are really helpful. Even if just to change the status of the item, I may do so.

Along this same line, twice recently I have attempted to order jewelry items showing in stock and I get that Darn, you just missed it, it's sold out. Trying multiple times over the next couple days brings up the same message.

@nyc1 People often get that message when the item's arrival is imminent but it has not yet arrived in the warehouse, probably due to an unforeseen shipping delay.

Agree, that is definitely a possibility, which is why my suggestion (with the current situation which is likely to last a long time) that they have another classification besides in stock, wait list and sold out. Maybe they should have IN TRANSIT code, which tells us the item's shipment is expected with no firm ship date. Just a thought!

@nyc1 .... this happens to me at the Q, VERY OFTEN!
.. Sometimes, it becomes "backordered," then even sometimes CANCELLED ALTOGETHER!... yet all the time, order date, appeared "In stock."
Perhaps the Q just wants ppl to buy the item, & the customer might be deterred from buying, if the customer knows they'll have to wait?
.. Or perhaps the Q's "IT Dept" has inadequate "Real Time" Computer Inventory Software Programs, (or programmers), that update Inventory based on Orders coming in?
.. Definitely, frustrating for the Q customer..

It happens and I just sit back and wait. If it comes ok and if not ok. I have one item still not showing shipped and guess what I already got it.
Chance you take ordering anything on line any place. I have had a few disappointing things happen shopping with the Q but most have been positive. Still my favorite on line place to shop. I prefer to shop around town, but can't always find what I am looking for.
I think with all that has gone on these last couple years and for as many people who
order I've had some pretty good results getting the things I have wanted for the prices I am willing to pay. I do look around more and order less now that I am on the run again.
As they say it is what it is.
