Moderator HELP! Now I can't even change the address where an item is to be shipped??!!

Moderator Please Help!  One June 1, I ordered (2) pair  of Prive Riveaux Sunglass, A352737, in chery Red and Black.  The ETA was June 7, tomorrow, it is still in process.  When I ordered these sunglasses I did so with caution because I knew I was going to be on vacation and the delivery date was important because it would be left at my front door, in a very bad neighborhood where packages are stolen daily.  I called CS this morning and according to THEIR computer, there is a delay in shipping, and unfortunately, I the customer, is left in the dark unless I babysit my orders.  FYI, the robo calls from QVC, needs to stop because they don't even state what items are delayed because as you know people have multiple items in process.  I am leaving for vacation on June 14 a week from tomorrow.  When I called CS this morning I asked to change the shipping address in case it doesn't arrive next week and I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT????????????Come on really?  I told the CS that I was afraid it would probably get stolen and being proactive to insure I wouldn't have this happen to me because I don't want to be charged for something I didn't get because it was stolen.  CS noted it on the computer that if that happened I would not be charged, but that really doesn't help because if the packages sit there it Alerts PEOPLE THAT i AM NOT HOME, AND LEAVES MY HOME VULNERABLE.  Can you please let me know how you can help with this order

@tropics21  - Assuming that your order will be delivered by USPS can't you just have the package held at the PO?

@tropics21  I apologize for any inconvenience.  If you've already spoken to a representative that could not make any changes, we operate on the same system and are not able to make any changes either.  It could take up to 5 days for orders to ship.  As someone suggested, you may want have your mail held at the post office.  I'm really sorry the address can't be changed at this time.

Great suggestion! I love mail hold; I do it online and you can request it up to the day before the hold begins.

Thanks but I rather resent having to be told to hold my mail at the post office because QVC is inadequate at shipping.  Holding my mail or not holding my mail is my decision and I elect not to  NOT  have  my mai held l because my post office is more inadequate than QVC, been there, done that.   ThERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY A CUSTOMER CAN'T CHANGE A SHIP TO ADDRESS (LET ALONE NOT BEING ABLE TO CANCEL) WHEN NOT ONLY IS IT IN PROCESS FOR 7 DAYS BUT QVC CAN'T GIVE AN ESTIMATED TIME IT MIGHT SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am done babysitting my many, $$$$ order from QVC, and in my opinion, qvc should not be aloud to continue these bad business practices. As I stated many time in previous posts, we are in the technology age, when all one needs to do is click a button and UNDO the cancel item so people could cancel.  A customer service rep should be able to go into the computer where there is an order and change the shipping address or whatever needs to be changed.  TELL ME QVC, DO YOU HAVE ONE PERSON IN THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT THAT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A COMPUTER?  FYI, I have had my mail held at my local post office twice, and twice the inadequate employees gave my mail to someone else, not me, and I never recovered my mail . If the sunglasses arrive while I am gone and disappear, it is your loss, not mine. I did everything humanly possible, QVC has not, no wonder the first quarter earnings are down, and no wonder there are many posts everyday, people shopping qvc for 30 years who are no longer going to be shopping and refuse to be subjected to these inadequate archiac business practices.

Melvin, perhaps the very least you could do is contact corporate and inform them customers are disgusted that besides not being able to cancel, they can't even change the ship to address. I know the CEO Mike George has received numerous complaints for the past 8 months, and still business continues to decline, but it is worth the effort because it appears, the customers of QVC can't even call corporate to complain because nobody will give us the phone number.  Horrible business practices, horrible company

With all due respect, you rant and rave about QVC almost daily, saying you'll never shop here again, but obviously you do keep shopping here, then rant and rave about the next

order problem.

 

If I had the constant problems you have shopping here, that put me in such a rage, I'd personally find somewhere else to shop.

Geez, kindly reread my email!!!! If CS couldn't give me any update as to when it will be shipped, most of the time they are informed via computer when the item will be shipped or there is a dumb robocall, than perhaps I chose to be proactive, no crime in that!  Trying to change the ship to address is an easy thing to do.  Geez!

With all due respect, you are not me. Second of all,  if you spent the money that I do, and I am sure you don't, and if you had the mistakes I encountered babysitting my orders and returns, perhaps you wouldn't write such a post!  On another note, your quote of Einsteins is inappropriate, because I am not insane.  Have a nice day, if at all possible
