This has been happening at some point every day for at least a week.  This afternoon, though, after reading a single topic I get signed out and have to sign back in.  It's very frustrating.  I've read posts where this has been happening with other people for quite a while.  Is there going to be a fix for this?  I am on a MacBook Air using Safari.

It happens to me all the time too.  I can't even "heart" two posts in a row without signing in twice.  I had to sign in to be able to respond to this post even though I just signed in about 3 minutes ago.  I don't understand it but I guess they think it makes our accounts more secure.

@NickNack and @santorini, This was happening to me yesterday on my desktop Mac (macOS 10.12.6) with Safari (10.1.2).    After I deleted all browser history, cache and website data (cookies), quit the browser, and relaunched it the problem stopped.    Do you have the current software versions for your operating system and your browser and did you try clearing history and cookies?

@dooBdoo  Thank you.  Yes, I believe I have the current systems.  MacOS 10.12.5) and Safari (10.1.1).  Actually, it looks like I'm not quite up to date but almost.  I'm not even sure how to update it.  I haven't been asked to do so.  I haven't tried clearing history and cookies but will do that.

Hi, @NickNack!   You're welcome.   In Safari, be sure to use the "Clear History" option in the Safari drop-down menu and also  in Safari "Preferences" under the "Privacy" tab choose "Manage Website Data" and remove all.    Then quit Safari and relaunch it.    To access and install newer versions of Apple's software,  just use the Software Update feature or Apple's website.   Fingers crossed that you'll see at least a wee bit of an improvement.   Regardless, this website is very glitchy.

Yes, it happened just a little while ago while using my iPad and safari.

I had just posted, and was about to respond to another post and was asked to sign in again.

I wonder if Safari is having more problems than other browsers, @september.  I'll try my (old) iPad 3 for a while and see what happens.
