Is this considered defective?

Finally got around to opening my TSV Kim jeans and as I took them out it was obvious the length was off. I ordered the petite for them to be ankle length but instead of 28" they're 25.5". I looked up the reviews and many others have mentioned the same. Since they're too short for me, and others have the same issue, is this considered a defect? IMG_1090.jpeg

I surely would think so!  That could make them unwearable!

Possibly could be considered defective but we don't make those decision. All you can do is return them and find out.

@Ane1Care - I would call customer service explain what happened like you shared here. I also had similar experience with petite length to long can be frustrating. In my situation wasn't charged returning or for the replacement. I'm sure cs will work with you for the most positive outcome. Good luck.

Regular petite length is 27".    "Ankle" petite would be about 25".

Re: Is this considered defective?

The online description says the petite length is supposed to be 28". If yours is 25", then yes, that is a defect. Return them and make sure you are not charged shipping. You should get a full refund.

Re: Is this considered defective?

@Ane1Care - From the photo, they look more like a crop or capri.  If the description stated 28", that's what you should get.

I'd definitely send them back as defective.

@Ane1Care  If you look at the reviews, customers are saying the inseam was not 28".

  I would mark defective.

Re: Is this considered defective?

Just an update, I received a full refund on Aug 26. I just checked my card app and noticed a charge for an amount I know I haven’t spent . My card company puts the item number in the description of the charge. I checked the item number and now I’m being charged for the return. Seems one person in returns agrees with it being a defect, while someone else doesn’t. Toying with the idea of emailing CS, but I’m unsure if they’ll insist on the return fee or not. If you find yourself in this position of a defect, keep tabs on a return charge a few weeks later.

@Ane1Care - Email the Social Team with the details; they can refund the return shipping charge.

The pants were not as described; you should not be charged return shipping.  Sometimes it's just an oversight by someone in the warehouse.  It happens.
