Just received several clothing items from various vendors over the last week.  All items (shipped separately) have an awful odor.  I have never experienced this before, and I have been shopping with the Q since 1992.  Has anyone else noticed this within the last couple of weeks?

l received 3 blouses today and no offensive odor at all. One from denim & co. The other two from c wonder.

Can you say what company??

The reason l asked is l also received 4 Berkshire Christmas stockings all in separate bags. 3 were fine but the other smelled terrible!! I couldn't figure that one out...all from the same company!

IM jeans more often than not have a horrific odor.  I will not purchase his line as a result.

Shipping containers entering the country are sprayed with insecticide.  If your garment happens to be on the outside of the load, it may pick up odors from the spray.  It usually is removed in the first wash.

I don't want insects but I don't want spray either.

That is the price we pay for having clothes made out of the USA.  Can't risk bringing in bugs and diseases from the countries were many of our clothes are made these days.  So the result is these offensive (who knows what chemicals) odors.  It is strange that you have only been receiving smelly cothes recently.  This has been a probelm for years with all vendors.

As far as the mention of Isaac's items having an oder, I have a closet full of his items and have not had an issue with any of them having odors.  Perhaps it could have been in dark color denim - the dye used in these are often quite smelly.

I remember at least 12 years ago I  ordered a beautiful suede jacket from an HSN vendor and it smelled so bad I had to return it.  Didn't even leave it in my house overnight - left it on the porch and returned it the next day.  That was the first time I experienced an odor in clothes and have had many smelly items since.  I am not speaking specifically of QVC, but over the whole of the fashion industry.

We need to bring our manufacturilng back to the good ole USA.  The only odor we would then be faced with would be some of the dyes, but not the really offensive chemicals they are sprayed with when being shipped from overseas.

All material from foreign counties it treated chemically to kill creepy crawly things like bed bugs, etc.  The only way to avoid it is to buy american made clothing, even then it may be doubtful because the material may come for a 3rd world county.  A price we pay for getting items cheaper.  I am very careful when I order on line, for example from Amazon, I dont order anything directly shipped from China, Vietnam, etc.  I have even noticed a slight odor in clothing stores, especially anything denim.  I always launder everything before I wear it.

How do you know how they are going to be shipped and where?  I gave you a rare eye roll on that one. Woman LOL
