Going forward I suggest QVC have stock status/counts accurate. If an item is backordered it should be marked as much. Perhaps this will help you keep future customers. I personally won't ever use QVC again as my time was wasted.
@Blake240. Don't be too alarmed by the backorder status. You didn't say what your item was but many are shipped directly from other countries to arrive by a set date. If they're delayed and don't arrive in time, the item may go to backorder status. I've have had this happen several times but in all cases, my item shipped within a week.
QVC certainly should notify customers when this happens. In fact, in the last couple of weeks I have received notification on two items advising me they're would be a delay. You must have your email preferences set properly to received such notifications.
