Re: Feel a bit scammed by QVC Who chooses the designers?

thank you for sharing what i can and cnnot post

i bought this denim jacket with patches on here after seeing Shawn flaunting it wearing it in London on her socials.

https://www.qvc.com/nikki-lund-thora-patch-denim-jacket.product.A709114.html?sc=IPSCH&qq=mh

I then saw the same exact jacket at Charming Charlies for 80 I bought it and looked it up on the net to find that its at many different stores and the 200 price tag here is grossly overpriced.  Screenshot 2025-11-18 at 3.55.50 PM.png

Posting me at bottom in my exact jacket.

Re: Feel a bit scammed by QVC Who chooses the designers?

congrats @HeatherAngel  looks like you found a good deal. thanks for posting all of that information. it looks like charming charlies DOES have it as $177 for the regular price, prior to the 50% off.

the ECHOINE version is even cheaper, but that website has horrible reviews.

I looked at all the photos of jacket.. cute by the way. I noticed although most of the patches say same thing ,there were different coloring, or tones and size. Especially on the patches.  Also, fabric of shirt seems a little different. Just a tad, but different.    But this may be lighting.  I surmise. One jacket may be the real thing and others are dupes.  I saw this all the time with hot ticket items in clothing .  But just my take. However, I have seen same items that are known name labels, at different vendors for different prices. A couple times it gave me pause because the mark up between the lowest priced one and the highest was so large. You wonder.  I always compare items as a rule.

I've seen a very similar jacket on Free People and Anthro.  I'm glad you got what you wanted at a good price, but a 50% off sale is apples compared to a regular price somewhere else.  In reality only $13 difference in price without the sale.

I don't see the same jacket in any but the Charming Charlie (I have never heard of that store) and your pic.  The QVC and other versions are similar but there could be differences we aren't seeing.

In the end, it looks great on you, so enjoy

Re: Feel a bit scammed by QVC Who chooses the designers?

@HeatherAngel - So I assume you either canceled your QVC order or have returned it to them?

Even with return shipping, you'd still be saving a substantial amount.

I agree with another poster:  the one you bought from another retailer was priced at $177, with 50% off.  QVC's was $186; so not really a scam.  Just a case of needing to do comparison shopping before you hit that submit button.

One of the versions you posted definitely looked different to me: the patches weren't the same and it could well be an inferior fabric.  Most times, you get what you pay for, especially with knock-offs.

Enjoy your jacket!

@HeatherAngel   the jacket you purchased at Charming Charley's is probably a knockoff of the one on QVC.   You cannot compare Apples to Oranges.   Designers get knocked off all the time .  It will be interesting to know when you receive the jacket if it is in fact the same jacket.   However you should be delighted you found what you like at a better price

Re: Feel a bit scammed by QVC Who chooses the designers?

I did more research/. it is not a knock off.  This is the exact same jacket because it is also sold at about 11 other places I found.  All for 80$ or less USD

i looked up the "designer" and every item on this site a mass manufatured piece anyone can buy in bulk & put a label in.

I even found it for $25 from the factory who makes them.

Fair.  QVC isnt scamming..  QVC is being scammed.

Charming Charlies is a cheap knock off store, with things made out of the US. I used to buy knock off jewelry there, that never lasted more than one of two wearings
