I am not happy I ordered the 12pc wine and it said I would receive it on 19th.
I haven't received it yet and most frustrating part is FedEx on tracking said it was on truck for delivery and this happened 3 times this week.
The truck never stopped or knocked on door because someone is always home.
I say QVC needs to find another carrier.
I know with wine the driver needs a signature because it's alcohol.

I just gave this wine set as a birthday present, and it arrived with absolutely no problems whatsoever.  A "horror" is a death in the family, not a delayed wine shipement.

I've had the same thing happen everytime I get anything from Fedex.

It will say out for delivery and I'll get it a few days later but eventually do.

It seems to be how they operate.

It will be here today, no, the next day, no maybe a few days later.

I didn't know QVC shipped anything via FedEx—I am sooooo glad they've never had anything shipped via that service to me because in my area, FedEx is AWFUL. Back in August, I'd had so many problems with packages being late that I finally calculated their percentage of deliveries that made it to me on the specified date this year: 20%. That includes Express, 2-Day, Home Delivery, and SmartPost services. When I checked on outliers, I discovered that I'd had one package that was delivered 11 days past its due date, one that was delivered at eight days past due, and three packages that were at six days past due. And they never, ever follow my delivery instructions requesting that packages be left at the side door where they're out of sight from the road—in fact, I've seen things thrown from the middle of my lawn toward the general front porch area more than once. Complaints to the hub and to headquarters have done nothing.

Basically, whenever I see that something is coming via FedEx, I start preparing myself for perishable items to be ruined and everything else to show up about a week later than the stated delivery date. AWFUL.

@Moreysmom  I have horror stories from Fedex and wine also.We order a case of wine from the Finger Lakes in NY every year for gifts for my hubby's clients.

One year, the wine made it to my city's warehouse then poof....2 cases of wine disappeared from tracking.

The next year,I had it delivered to work for the signature. It sat on the truck for a week claiming our office was closed when they tried to deliver. My office was open 7 days a week 8-5.

And the topper was last year.I was home awaiting the delivery. It said it was delivered with no signature.Huh? A signature is required. I put in a claim. About 5 days later,a fellow called me and told me he found 2 cases of wine sitting on his mother's porch. My number was on the box so he was able to contact me. They just left the wine in the TX warmth.

I keep telling the winery they need to ditch Fedex!!!

Re: FedEx Horrors

[ Edited ]

Count me in on FedEx.  My experiences haven't been as bad as others here or USPS, but I believe two of my packages were stolen by the drivers.  I won't go into detail why I think so, but all evidence points in that direction.

However, I'm beginning to get delay notifications from both FedEx and UPS.

Still, give me UPS any day.  Very reliable company.  I finally met my UPS driver this past week when I was outside. Two days in a row.  What a cutie he is, very polite, and full of smiles.  Driving what looked like a much larger brand new truck.

For those who aren't aware, FEX EX area's are actually a "purchased subcontracted" area.

Meaning, these drivers do not work directly for Fed Ex rather than a business/person who purchased that delivery area from Fed Ex.

I found this out from my Fed Ex that delivered to my business.  At the time he told me that he needed to find another job since his "boss" wasn't going to bid on the delivery area anymore.

I cringed when I see a package coming from Fed Ex.  I get email saying it will be delivered the next day and it never does.  When I track it, I am told it is pending.  It's a total mess.

The horrorific shipment will probably arrive -appropriately enough - on October 31.
