FURIOUS 1ST TIME CUSTOMER! WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN * DO NOT RECOMMEND QVC

[ Edited ]

I am a new customer of QVC, and so far, it has been absolutely miserable. I ordered a Canon Camera and a iMac desktop computer for my wifes Christmas and anniversary present on the morning of December 10th. When I sumbitted the order, I instantly saw the hold for $470, so I thought everything was good. I make over $900 a WEEK, so a $470 payment a month, is nothing.

After 2 days of it being in process, I chatted with Live Chat & inquired about my order. A woman named Skyler assured me that the packages are about to be shipped, and that they needed no information from me, that it was ready to go.

For peace of mind, I contacted the customer service number, and a different lady, had told me the same thing.

Today, December 14th, I checked the order status, hoping it was shipped out. Wrong. After waiting 4 days, the order status changed to "CONTACT CS". I instantly called them, was transferred to the finanical department, and was told no one was available to take my call, that they would call me back.

The estimated due date of my orders was 12/17 camera, and 12/18 for the iMac, so I knew at that moment, I wasn't getting them by those days.

I waited. And I waited. Until about 2:30pm today. I called them back instead of waiting on them to call me. Fortuntately, I was able to talk to someone from the finanical department. The reason why the order status changed, was because they needed to verify it was me, and also, that I had exceeded the CREDIT LIMIT. What? I thought QVC doesn't do "credit". So, the agent told me I had to either pick the camera or the iMac. My wife has been wanting an iMac for months now, and I thought it'd be the perfect gift for her, so I chose the iMac.

After verifying that it was really me ordering, and giving the last 4 digits of my social secruity number, the lady cancelled the camera order, and assured me that I was "good to go", and I will be getting a confirmation email with the shipment details of the iMac, and that the computer will be here by 12/18. Wrong again.

I just logged into QVC only to find out, I had to contact customer service AGAIN. So, I did. What the lady had told me is the order was "under review". AGAIN? I explained that I had already spoken to someone earlier, and verified all of my information. The lady then told me that "it went higher to corporate for review". What? She couldn't give me any more other information, but to check the order status in 24-48 hours. Are you kidding me? I could have easily went to Bestbuy and bought the iMac outright, but to save some money, I chose to go throught QVCs EasyPay.

Let me tell you, EasyPay, isn't "Easy"Pay. 4 days of IN PROCESSING, just to find out my order is under review, not once, but TWICE in ONE day, is VERY unacceptable.

To sum this all up, I was told twice that my order was about to be shipped, then all the sudden, I had to call QVC CS twice, to verify my order, and then was told my order was sent up to their corporate office for review.

I will NOT be doing business with this company or affiliates again. This post is also being shared to my social medias, to encourage family & friends to not buy from QVC.

UPDATE

I called QVC this morning of 12/15, to maybe try and get something figured out. In the process of trying to get ahold of an "account specialist", I got hung up on TWICE, before finally reaching one. Finally, after the 3rd try, I got ahold of an account specialists, the reason why my account is "under review" is because they need to VERIFY my information, AGAIN. Now, I'm getting very angry at this point. I, once again, explained I already verified my information, and the agent said,

"Let me look at the notes....Oh, okay. I see where you did. Let me put it in the notes of the account that you've already verified everything, and get the order out of "under review" status."

I then asked her when will it out of under review and shipped out, and all she could give me was "sometime today, before 7PM".

While looking at my order detail status on my accounts, the ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE IS NOW 12/26, when it was 12/18. I was told nummmmmerous times that my order will be here BEFORE christmas. Not only going through this is stressing me out, but the fact that my wife wont be able to open up her iMac ON christmas, is stressing me out even more.

@JoshArms  Hopefully the helpful moderators can make sense of what you have experienced.  I can't and I've never heard anyone have such a challenge with a purchase.

QVC is a business, if you don't have the funds you don't get the merchandise.

@JoshArms

Just a suggestion. Buy your wife the Apple IMac directly from the Apple.com site.

They are also offering a great financing option using their Apple card issued by Barclay bank.  zero interest based on amount of purchase (in your case would be 18 months).

I bought my new IPad 12" pro (gift) using this offer.

plus, I ordered on Sunday and recipient picked up at store but would have shipped with free 2 day shipping.

@MarkeieMark What are you talking about? Reread the post? I HAVE the money. I make $900 a WEEK. Money is not the problem, it's the run around QVC keeps doing. Like I said, reread my post before you reply.

It doesn't sound like lack of funds was the issue. It sounds like the issue is that QVC's left hand doesn't know what it's right hand is doing... Not surprising. Were I @JoshArms I'd cancel both orders and shop elsewhere. As was noted, I'm sure Best Buy can provide both items with a whole lot less hassle... I also doubt they'd require jumping through so many hoops... and their shipping would almost certainly be quicker... The Apple store is also a good idea for the iMac...

Yes, QVC is a busines and if they keep it up with this kind of 'customer service' they won't be a business much longer...

Did you tell QVC how much you make? Keep reminding them about your more than enough income and i bet do take notice and send your items if you do.

You can get a Mac desktop and a camera for less than $500 on QVC. That’s an unbelievable price!

@GenXmuseI have not, didn't really think I needed to honestly. Good idea, though, but not sure if it'd help much. I just wanted to get my wife the things she has been wanting for awhile without having to spend so much outright at once.

It sounds like your credit card company wouldn’t approve the charge because you exceeded the limit. I understand your frustration. But QVC isn’t going to release an item if your credit card was declined.

Last summer I bought a patio set for $600 from Target.I charged the purchase to my credit card. The furniture was supposed to be delivered 3 days later. It never came. It turns out that my cc company declined the charge because they thought it was fraudulent. They never notified me,nor did the store.By the time I got it straightened out the set, which was on sale, was sold out!!

Target gave me a $50 gift card for their part in not notifying me.I ended up buying another patio set at Harrows for more money.
