Email and site "improvements"

I must say the new things going on the website are horrendous.  It's about as hard a sell as possible.  The pop ups at the bottom of the screen and at the side are just utter distractions.  Sometimes I want to see reviews or even questions and this pup up is just a PIA.

I got an email from QVC this morning stating that an item I purchased yesterday was now a lower price.  And today there is free shipping.  Now the company that makes the item I bought has two items on your site so you think I should buy them both?   I already bought one yesterday.  And thanks so much for pointing out that I missed the free shipping.  It seems like you have just turned your whole company into a circus.

First, download a reputable ad/pop-up blocker from your app store. 

 

Second, every retailer in the country markets this way. Most send emails after going to their site about what you looked at or bought before. Some might like it. Others don't. 

 

Third, the internet tracks everything. Clear your history, cache, and cookies on a regular basis. 

 

I'm not a Q fan but we all should know have learned how retailers operate long ago.
