Delivery exception Action required.

Tracking the shipment on UPS it shows:
10/06/2016 3:00 P.M.
Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / Delivery will be rescheduled.
When I look at the email showing the tracking number it shows Smiley Very Happyelivery exception. Action required.
Is action required by me? If so, what?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Delivery exception Action required.

That was meant to be Delivery exception. Please ignore accidental smiley.

@Bad Wolf       Many P.O. closed early yesterday. Not much moved yesterday and may not today, because of hurricane.

Re: Delivery exception Action required.

Being in Florida I am very aware of the hurricane and understand the rescheduling. What I am wondering about is the " action required" that I am seeing. Am I supposed to be doing something?

Has UPS contacted you? I suppose no. You just happened to check the status of your package via UPS tracking, right? It's 'action required' on their part because of the storm in the southern states.

@Bad Wolf, From the UPS site:

"Exception: Action Required: The shipment is currently within the UPS network; however, more information regarding the delivery address is needed. The sender must provide the correct shipping address information to UPS."

Re: Delivery exception Action required.

I just called UPS and they said that there was no action required on my part. They just need to wait for safe weather conditions.
Thanks for the help.

Great news @Bad Wolf. 👍 Hope you and yours are safe there in Florida. This storm is horrible. Take care.

Thank you. We are fortunately on the west coast of Fl. One of the few spots that never tracked as being in much danger. Did you see where they think it might loop around and hit the state twice? I have never seen anything like that.

Yes I heard a Weather Channel meteorologist talking about that. Scary stuff.
