I ordered some Lock and Lock and changed my mind to order a different set. My order was only a couple of hours old yet I couldn't cancel the orginal order. Customer service will refund my return charges but I wonder why an order that is just hours old can't be canceled. Perhaps once the customer gets it they won't return it because of the return charges? Not fair QVC!!!

Yet people complain that it takes too long for their order to process. The processing time varies with each product. All's fair in love and war (and order processing).

Yes, and most orders-especially lock n lock-take several days to process before they are shipped. I would think that within a few hours cancellation would be possible. But I know my sister was unable to cancel that Keurig TSV in December after only a few minutes and it took a week before it was shipped. Also happened with some other items she ordered. I believe they changed their policy a few year ago becasue I know it used to be possible. Think they want to discourage order changes.

These are probably items shipped by the vendors.

I have found that if I wanted to cancel pretty soon after placing an order and it doesn't let me I still continue trying to cancel using the automated number; repeatedly and at intervals and even first thing in the morning and am usually finally able to cancel ![]()

When I'm not sure about a color or something else on an item, I usually place my order (on-line) using the "check" payment.....then I can make changes to "edit" or "cancel" it. Editing also includes changing the payment method..........

Exactly how long should QVC wait before processing your orders? 1 hour? 2? 5? 12?
Few online retailers allow canvellations after one places an order in their cart, goes through the check out process, and then confirms that the order is, indeed, accurate. Why should the retailer the have to wait for someone to decide if they really meant to place the order?
The solution is, of course, to be sure one relly wants and item before placing the order. If in doubt, simply wait until one is sure.

I've had that happen too! I think it depends on time of day. I find if it is near midnight they tend not to "be able" to cancel orders.

I have found that sometimes the next day I an cancel it but not within a few hours of ordering it. In addition, if its being shipped by the vendor, many times they won't let you cancel so you have to call Customer Service and let them know so that you will be a full refund of your S&H.
