We know we can leave an item in our cart for an hour! Why do your hosts push “check out” if it’s in your cart! QVC has become pushy! Stop! Between that and the annoying pop-ups my shopping is not a fun experience anymore!

Because it will only stay in your cart for an hour if someone else doesn't buy it.  I've had items in my cart in my size and color and they disappear while I'm deciding.  That's because someone else checked out first.

@mthree2.  That should be obvious.  The hosts get credit for "a sale" if customers check out and finalize a transaction during their show.  It's probably a performance indicator that let's management know how well they're doing.  It's how they're judged so is a big deal to the host.

Because if I want to buy what's sitting idle in your cart while you're still mulling it over, it's Mine!  Woman Happy

I think of having something in my cart as a hold. Sure they save it there...unless and until someone else is ready to purchase. Then poof, it's gone.

If items are selling quickly they don't continue to hold it for you.

In my experience, the one hour rule was abandoned by QVC some time ago, along with the 24 hour you cancel an order rule.  They no longer exist.

Putting something in your cart doesn't mean Q literally holds it for you. It remains available only until it sells out.  If it sells out before you buy it, you're out of luck.

I have been here since CVN and do Not ever remember a stated policy that you can cancel in X amount of time.

We used to be able to cancel...but it was never a written policy I saw.
