Re: Buyer Beware Incorrect Address

Can you find a way to contact the new owners and ask them to refuse delivery?  It should be the wrong person on the label.

I think they should have allowed you to cancel also @solarshell.

Or maybe ask your cc company to refund the charge; dispute the charge. If it hasn't shipped and is still "in processing," that often takes over a week and sometimes more!

Why should it be disputed OR refunded?  It was totally the OP error.

@50Mickey,

Does QVC always give 30 minutes to cancel? Anyone know?

There IS NO written policy allowing us to cancel at any time!

If you can, great......but no policy

Re: Buyer Beware Incorrect Address

@solarshell   So sorry you are going through this.  One of the favorite targets of scammers is changing addresses, claiming to own properties they don't own, financial accounts that belong to others, etc.  Almost no company will make changes without our jumping through many rolling hoops.  I see a complaint like this week after week on my local nextdoor.com site.

I'm limiting not only what I buy currently but also where I shop with my credit cards.  I can't even imagine having to deal with all the changes moving to any new address requires.

@CJC

If you have an updated address in your account you wouldn't have the same issue as OP.

Not QVC'S fault or any other company if the buyer supplies wrong shipping info.

Re: Buyer Beware Incorrect Address

@on the bay. There no set policy or rule on the cancelation time. I recently was able to cancel an order after 1 1/2 hrs 2hich was very unusual. Orders shipped by the vendor, which a tree is likely to be, are pretty much set in stone.

The OP needs to contact the mods, as was offered, for assistance.

Re: Buyer Beware Incorrect Address

I agree with the others who suggested changing the address for the shipment with the shipping co, if possible as soon as you can once the shipper picks up the item.  Generally, you'll get an E-mail that the item has been shipped, but really, they've only created the shipping label, so you'll have to wait until the shipper has actualy picked up the item for it to track. Go directly to their site, not the link that QVC sends you.

If it's too late for that and you're in the same town, I'd be looking to contact the new owners and hope that they're honest and would allow you to come and get it.  I know I've taken a package that was mis-addressed down the street and I had to ask on Nextdoor where the person lived.

@CJC - This has nothing to do with QVC or any other retailer.  The mistake was made by the OP (the buyer).

Once the order has been sent to the vendor, there is nothing QVC can do about it.  Not their fault.

If the customer doesn't update his/her information, the blame lies squarely with that person.  No one else.

Re: Buyer Beware Incorrect Address

This post title should be changed to:

DISORGANIZED PEOPLE WHO MOVE BEWARE--DON"T FORGET TO UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS EVERYWHERE.

This long, ranting post is silly and shifting blame.  QVC's policies have been in place for decades.

I have multiple addresses in my QVC account because I send gifts to family.  It is MY responsiblility to make sure the correct shipping address is listed.

If you are disorganized in life, and forget to change your NEW address everywhere, the only fault is yours.

I will continue to enjoy shopping at the Q--in fact I am sitting here waiting for two shipments to arrive soon!
