I used one of my Temptations pans tonite in the oven.  Upon checking on it I saw it had split right on half.  No, my oven temperature did not exceed 500 degrees.  Does this happen often?  Has anyone else experienced this?

I know how you feel.  It happened to one of my loaf pans.

This has happened too many times with temptations.  Would never buy it...call CS and they will credit your account for this defective item.  They should stop selling this product...

I had an entire set of Temptations cookware and my giant rectangular pan broke in the oven with a lasagna in it plus 5 other large pieces.  Shouldn't be happening.

@JETT   My heart went out to the poster who described taking her expensive Christmas roast from the oven while guests waited at the table, only to have her Temptations pan break and the whole thing landed on the floor

Yes, it is not uncommon.

FYI:. My avatar collie was named Jett.

I am sure glad I read this as I have served from Temtations right out of the oven to guests.  This would be horrible.  They really should make this known to would be buyers.

Consumer Product Safety Commission takes reports of this type of thing. Take photos. Go to website. If this happened while a person was removing pan from the oven the person could possibly get hurt.

@JETT

I have spent a lot of $$ on Temptations. I have not had any crack but they do have some crazing. I have heard of so many incidents where they crack that I'm afraid to use them.

I'm glad I haven't bought any.  I love Corningware and Corningware light.  I always buy them in solid white so they go with any other dishes I might be using.
