Ordered a food item on 17th..suppose to be shipped yesterday to arrive on 20th (tomorrow) It was in stock when i ordered and this morning shows Backorder ..when i check the item on website it still shows IN STOCK...please help...2nd item in a week that showed In Stock when ordered then later changed to Backorder !!

I was looking at all the food items on the QVC website, particulary cookies to ship to my Mom. I recall reading "Order by December 16th in order for delivery by Christmas." Well, it was December 16th, so I called QVC to try to place an order for Cheryl's cookies. The customer service agent said it wouldn't get there till after Christmas. I asked her about what I read about order by date and she said that was for only "certain items" and that at this point (meaning the day I called), a food item would not be delivered in time for Christmas.

Thanks ScrapHappy but I really dont need for Christmas..Just wondering why it said IN STOCK when I ordered and still today but my order says Backorder..

@89135 - If you don't want to call customer service to inquire about your order, you might want to try sending an email directly to the moderators of the forums at QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com. They should be able to give you a good update.

OOOPS !!! Just went to my order and it now says estimated delivery for 01/09/2020 !!!!!!!!!!
And it still says IN STOCK on website...geez !!!!!!!

I made basically this same comment on another thread, same topic.
We all understand what wait list means, and what advance order means at the time we place either kind of order.
If the item shows in-stock when the order is placed there is no excuse for it ever to be back ordered, unless a disaster hit the vendor.
Shipping issues due to the carrier are irritating but understandable. Back orders are totally unacceptable, and it's even worse when the customer isn't given the option to cancel.
For Customer Service to say it's an issue with the vendor and out of their hands is also totally unacceptable. QVC made a deal with the vendor and the customer made a deal with QVC. So the customer's issue is with QVC, not with the vendor.

Ordered Candle Impressions lanterns 12/26/19 with est. delivery on 1/3/2020. Did not receive so I called CS on 1/4. His excuse was they needed parts. On 1/5 it now shows on "backorder". I'm beyond irritated especially after previous orders that sat for a week in post office in NJ and another in CA and another order that was promised by Christmas ordered weeks before (enough time for early delivery) but did not receive until days after Xmas. Glad I didn't sign up for a QCard.
