It's my choice not to use apps so missing out on discounts & other benefits is on me. I do take advantage of other savings using coupons, cash back websites & I use my cash back credit cards for all purchases so that what works for me...for those that use apps, ENJOY.

Very unfair that folks who have APPS can use a discount code and those of us who dont are out of luck.  Many seniors have flip-phones and dont have APPS.    Just another reason to shop somewhere else that dont discriminate !

@clove4

It's not unfair it's up to the consumer to choose method of purchase.

It's a state of doing business, up to the consumer to abide or not.

Have you tried the APP?  Easy if you have a smart phone, tablet, etc.

But, but, but...only a Q card gets the really good rate.  Pure marketing, just ignore if you wish.

@Still Raining

20% off using other credit cards is still a NICE discount!

Considering the so called 'sale' price can be as low as 7%....

Edited to add:  You can always download the App, place the order using the discount and then uninstall it.

I'm in my 70's and I don't like apps.  I don't feel like because a discount is offered, it's discrimination.  Apps are a choice just like having a flip phone or a smart phone.

I don't like that to get on a plane I'm expected to have my boarding pass on my phone, but it's reality.  Yes, you can still get a hard copy, but that's a pain as well.

I think life has become more complicated  with all the new tech, just my opinion.   You either join in and learn, or you get left behind.

@brandiwine

Actually progress in technology has made my life much simpler.

You are left behind however that's a choice.

Heard something recently that when the horseless carriage was invented the moving forward blacksmiths became car mechanics.

Good point.

And then John Deere switched to tractors when it was obvious the horse and carriage were a thing of the past.

@clove4, sometimes I think people look for a reason to slam QVC. I'm appreciative anytime a discount is offered, whether I make use of it or not.

You're posting on the internet. You don't need a phone to use an app. Computers and tablets work just as well.

I don't like shopping on an app, and shop the full website. I will use the app for checkout if it's to my advantage. Easy peasy.

Apps are easy to discard and delete afterwards if you don't like the clutter on your screen.

Like I said. I like seeing discounts offered. I know I could save more if I had a Q card. My choice not to get one. I don't find that additional savings by that method to be discriminatory. It's the price I pay for not wanting another credit card.

That is a good John Deere history story! My retired endodontist was a John Deere enthusiast, had the tractor models all over his office ha.

They had to change with the times and they sure did!

I think Q is trying to do the same....this new technology is tricky for me....but I'll do my best to figure it out...or I'll be left behind!

Everyone wants paperless, online, those dang QR codes etc!

That's the way of it now.
