the developers are these days.  my neighbor got a call from one and they wanted to buy his house.  he told them no.  they then tried to tell him that they want to establish a presense in the neighborhood.  he told them that well, just maybe the neighborbood doesn't want your presense here.

they don't want the homes, they just want the lots that are 1/2 acre lots so they can build 8 houses on each lot.

I don't think 8 houses would fit on a half acre lot.

@shortbreadlover.  Did the developer say he wanted to build 8 houses on 1/2 acre?

Hopefully the developers need a change in an ordinance or needs re-zoning.

Go protest it.

A developer can fit quite a few townhomes on a 1/2 acre.

Let me see.  A developer asks to buy a home and is told no.  How does that make him a jerk?  Because a developer would like to have something, doesn't mean he's going to get it.  We have several hundred acres of land and own the water and mineral rights.  Developers ask all the time and we just say no.  End of story.

You should hold out until you're the last one standing. Then tell them it's at least 5 million or bust.

Do you have to answer them?
