Luckily, I don't have too many decorations to put away....just a few candles and will see how far my Pointsettia can hold out. 

Finish illustrating my book for grandson's birthday in January. 

Have the 3 grand children over to make candy cane cakes - the Betty Crocker yeast cakes with cherry & apricot filling. I'll chop the fruit, but they will do the rest.

Maybe I'll finally get my jewelry organized!

Oh goodness @qualitygal.  I guess I don't have any "plans".  More than anything, I'd like to take a trip, but...dogs.  The only option we'd have is a doggie hotel and that scares me more than my desire to take a trip.

Our  Christmas starts on Friday. DD and family will arrive. DS and family will arrive on Saturday. Presents will be opened on Sunday morning before church. Then we have a day of fun, with possible ice skating or roller skating. Then dad cooks steaks on the grill and I make potatoes and corn Some will stay until next Saturday. Need to find fun things to do.

Ohh, new flooring!  What color and style?  I had new flooring anytime I wanted it (DH's business) now that he's retired, that's gone   Didn't think that thru too well lol

What kind of canned tomatoes do you use?  I have a friend who was born and raised in NY and then moved to CT.  She cooked "sauce" once a week.  She added a variety of meats (at the same time I think).  If you tell me the tomatoes you used, I'll recognize it.  It was the ONLY brand she would use.

@jlkz  ALTERNATIVE MINIMUM TAX is generally for very wealthy people who are not paying enough tax otherwise.

@monicakm - Wanna come help me pack?  Ha!  Getting rid of old, worn out wall-to-wall carpet and replacing with slightly different color.  You're lucky you had someone in the biz.

Thanks for calling my attention to the use of the wrong accounting term !   Bad time of year: tax prepping and deciding on selling a property !!

Whar I should have said in case someone was itemizing each and every donation, was the use of taking the standard deduction to reduce taxes.....unless the amount of itemitized donated items is greater than the standard deduction.

( My non-accountant mind substituted " alternative " to the concept of deducting taxes.  Good catch, glad somebody is awake ! )
