Re: what are your after Christmas plans?

@bmorechick - May I come to your house for dinner?   Your spaghetti dinner sounds glorious!!

And Merry Christmas to everyone.

We're getting new carpet in January, so we'll be packing up everything in boxes until after the old carpet is out and the new carpet is in.  It will be nice to have new carpet throughout the house, but I'm dreading all the work and chaos in between.

Re: what are your after Christmas plans?

After Christmas will be pretty much the same as before Christmas - daily routine, usual errands, cook, laundry, assorted appointments, some travel, etc..

If I could get DH to take the decorations down on the 26th it would be great, but I doubt that'll happen.

Nothing much, it's just me, my DH and doggie....just the way we like it for the most part. Although it would be nice to pop in and see family for a couple of hours, but we're all too far away for that....

We'll just be chilling, watching movies, drinking warm drinks, eating good food and yummy sweets.....Wow, did that rhyme? haha

Re: what are your after Christmas plans?

@jlkz  It's a big pot of sauce and trust me, I'm feeding 15 so there won't be much left!  They will devour the meatballs but that's ok!  I started the sauce this morning on the stove for about an hour and now it's on low in the slow cooker.  I will bake the meatballs tonight and put them in the sauce when it's done, picking at them along the way 😏🍝

Tomorrow all I will need to do is assemble the salad and broil the garlic bread!

Thanks for the tip and IF there's any left I will definitely freeze it.  You enjoy too 🎄🎁🍸

Re: what are your after Christmas plans?

Will just be me and DH..We did Christmas and Thanksgiving at Halloween! My kids don't come up in the winter unless they are summoned..anytime they did they had to cancel we had a lot of snow.

We had turkey and the trimmings..lasagna and meatballs..and birthday cake..My son's birthday is Christmas Day..My grands had a ball!

Sorry to say DH has no memory of it..So we'll just have a quiet day with frozen leftovers from Thanksgiving/Christmas..after we talk to the kids.

Everyone have a very Merry Christmas whatever you do!
