I love the quiet of the winter, no more leaf blowing or noisy lawn mowers!

I like seeing the brave birds that come out in the snow

The best things about winter in Arizona are:

being able to go outside and not sweat.

bbq weather

sitting outside by the firepit

the car isn't 140 degrees sitting in the shade

air conditioning isn't running all day

long sleeves and long pants and rarely anything more than a light jacket

mornings temps in the 40's vs 90+

seeing my outdoor kitties cuddled up together on the outside chairs

not getting the hair dryer effect when walking to the mailbox

Looking out the window during a snowfall when I know I don't have to leave  the house. The snow covered trees are gorgeous.

Having the fireplace on with a candle burning and listening to music or reading a good book bring peace.

Living in upstate SC, I like the milder/cool/cold temperatures in winter.  I am more comfortable outside since I don't tolerate heat well and have hyperhidrosis.  Also, seeing snow fall.  I love to watch the flakes and see how they look in different light and moonlight.

Re: welcome winter

You would think living so close to the beach and shore in NJ that summer would be my favorite season.  It's not!  As a kid, I grew up in the same area, so this has always been my home, but I never liked the heat and humidity that summer brings.

Give me cool weather and the peaceful calm of snow.  Every tree and branch is so perfectly covered in glistening white, snowy beauty!  The air is crisp and breathing it in makes you feel invigorated.  Inside are the good smells coming from cooking/baking.  Snuggled up on the sofa where wood from the fireplace is crackling and you're all cozy reading a good book.   For me, it's snow and winter!

The best thing about winter was skiing when I was younger. Now? With each winter day we get that much closer to Spring, warmer and longer days.
